December 2, 2009 — A familiar face? She had to matter to somebody.

If they could identify her they might be able to solve the crime.  Here’s the account from WZZM, channel 13.  Here’s one from The Grand Rapids Press.  Her body was found in the wooded area of an Ada Township park.  The skeletal remains were found by a park worker, and forensics suggest that the body may have lain there for a year.  No remnants of clothing or other personal effects.

Police have attempted matching dental records, a DNA profile, almost everything at their disposal.  And now this, thanks to forensic artist and Michigan State Police Trooper Sarah Krebs The Kent Metro Cold Case Team now has another view of the case…this time a three-dimensional build of a face based on the victim’s skull.

You can read alllllll about it here (click on it to make it much bigger):

Thank you, Detective Dan Scalici, for sending this to us.  Thank you VERY much.

The above story is much the same story with Jack in the Box.  (That’s a shameless invitation for you to watch the entire film from this site.  It’s graphic, so be warned.)  IF ONLY, says Ottawa County Sheriff Gary Rosema, his officers could identify the victim they’d be a long way to solving this case.

Of course somebody knows something.  Let’s get this one solved, please?
