Sergeant John Robinson was the head of the Major Case Team in the Grand Rapids City Police only long after the murder of Mina Dekker. As he says, he wasn’t born yet when she was killed. But the case file that the police assembled was personally handed to him by his predecessor. In just such a manner, this case was handed down from his predecessor’s predecessor…and on back to the original investigator Lt. Frank Breen. Breen served under Superintendent Frank O’Malley.
